Top 20 Greek Summer Tracks 2016

By 8 years ago

By DJ Deep End

It is with great sadness that I’m presenting the top current Greek tracks, for the first time since 2012, without our beloved Pantelis Pantelidis.

It is still so surreal contemplating his loss, not only for our music industry, but for how we all combined our common emotions, memories and life experiences in reality through his music.

Nevertheless, shake your frappe, or crack open your preference of alcohol (as we Greeks do, and please do so responsibly), sit back, fire up a tsigaro (we don't endorse smoking but hey, again, it’s a Greek thing) and check out the GCT (Greek City Times) Top 20 for  Summer 2016- (or winter, depending on which part of the planet you are on).

Once again it features some of our usual big name suspects such as Thanos Petrellis, Giannis Ploutarhos and of course the legendary Notis Sfakianakis.

Refreshingly though, these days we also get a lot of popular Greek tracks coming out from lesser known singers and they have a great reputation of giving us some belters. This includes Konstantinos Koufos, who last summer came up with one of the biggest tracks in Greek music history, “I Pio Oraia Stin Ellada” and has now returned with another hit to warm us up for the up- coming Greek Summer.

GCT (Greek City Times) is now your complete destination for keeping up to date with all the latest and best in Greek music, so stay tuned.

All the tracks presented here are available via youtube. OPA!
