Turkish jets violate Greek airspace, again

By 8 years ago

Greece finds itself once again complaining about Turkish overflights after fresh violations of its airspace on Wednesday over the southern Aegean.

According to Greek authorities two Turkish F-16s flew over the Kalogeroi islands around midday whilst a Turkish CN-235 aircraft violated Greek air space over the island of Panagia a few minutes earlier.

Turkish airspace violations have increased in frequency ever since both countries participated in the NATO led patrols aimed at dealing with people smuggling.
