On Wednesday 31st August 2016, Sydney University’s Greek Society (SUGS) is presenting a unique, guest lecture about the History of The Parthenon Marbles and the efforts to return them to Greece.
This lecture is presented by Emanuel John Comino AM PSP JP, Founder and Chairman of the International Organising Committee - Australia - for the Restitution of the Parthenon Marbles.
Mr Comino will present the arguments for and against the Parthenon Marbles return to Athens, addressing the topics of celebrity endorsement of their restitution, the implications of Brexit and potential future restitution outcomes.
This lecture is not to be missed and is open to everyone- students, professors, historians, members of the community and fans of history, Greece, art and antiquities!
