Good luck to Greece's Paralympic team for Rio 2016

Paralympic athletes who will represent Greece at the 15th Summer Paralympic Games in Rio received a formal ceremony by politicians, mayors and other prominent Greek guests at a hotel in Athens this week.

President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis addressed the athletes, “The wishes of all of us accompany you in Rio for new great achievements, like those you have achieved so far and even more.”

“We have confidence in you, because we know your high morals and the strength of your soul. Apart from our well wishes for you, you have the general recognition of all Greek athletes, who along with their brilliant performance and emblematic example of their lives- are worthy representatives of the genuine Olympic spirit and ideal. Good luck. We are and always will be proud of you,” he added.

Main opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis, PASOK President Fofi Gennimata, KKE Chief Dimitris Koutsoumbas and To Potami leader Stavros Theodorakis , Fofi Gennimata, Dimitris Koutsambas and Stavros Theodorakis were also present.

The 2016 Paralympics will be held in Rio de Janeiro between September 7-18.
