Greek players & fans celebrate as one

Despite Lukaku’s late goal that denied Greece a victory in Belgium, Greece's National Team earned a valuable point against the group leaders with a 1-1 draw and the players and Greek fans celebrated as one after the game.

Roughly 4,000 Greek fans attended the King Baudouin Stadium to support Greece’s efforts in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Belgium. The Greek supporters, organised by the Greece’s official fan club the Galanolefkos Faros, had a strong presence at the stadium, chanting “Ellas Ole” for the 90 minutes of play as they cheered on the Ethniki.

After the final whistle, the Greek players and coaching staff rushed to the stands to thank and celebrate the result with the 4,000 Greek fans. The players and fans did the established “Ole” making for beautiful scenes in Brussels.
