By 6 years ago

The new ferry service, which for the first time is linking the Ionian Islands in Greece, launched this week!

The ferry line now connects Corfu with Paxi, Lefkada, Ithaki, Kefalonia and Zakynthos and all routes will be carried out via passenger ship High Speed Azimut Joy Cruises, which has a 170 passenger capacity.

By the end of the month, the service is expected to run three times a week until the end of October, covering the high season.

The Corfu-Zakynthos route will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The return route, connecting Zakynthos to Corfu, will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

“We are delighted that this ferry service, the connection line for the Ionian Sea, comes after many decades as of May 2 to the end of October and will unite the Ionian Islands,” Ionian Islands Regional Governor Theodoros Galiatsatos said in an announcement.
