By 6 years ago

Searching for a place to stay through Airnb is easy, however, finding a cave house in a quaint village in Chania and surrounded by nature is something very special!

This premises was originally a home that was then converted into a warehouse stocking agricultural products and then in 2017 it was again renovated and turned into this warm, surreal space, with the cave rocks as the main feature and is now rented out all year round.

The luxurious studio with a space of 60 square metres, can host up to two adults and two children and comes complete with dining room, kitchenette, TV, and boasts a beautiful balcony revealing the view of Kissamos Bay and the mountains that can be seen in the background, giving you a sense of complete peace and serenity.

Apart from the natural cave that stretches over the kitchen and behind the bedroom, the décor includes rustic small pots, as well as antique lanterns hanging next to the bedroom and a lot of dark wood, making this accommodation option even more unique.

So if you are after some time away from city living, this is definitely the place for you, as you can sit back and enjoy the fresh air and breathtaking views.

However, if you would also like to explore Chania, the city centre is only 45 km away, while the port of Kissamos is just 5 minutes drive. We suggest you hire a car as it is the best way to get around and explore the wonderful areas nearby.

And if you are there over summer, it is very close to Balos lagoon, which has been named one of the best beaches in Europe, the famous beach of Falasarna is close by, and even closer you will find a few small and beaches.

The cost is around 55 euros per night, however, the experience is priceless!
