Tsitsipas' and Sakkari's first 2019 Hopman Cup tournament

Stefanos Tsitsipas, world No.15 tennis rising star and world No.29 Maria Sakkari, have represented Greece in the 2019 Hopman Cup.

The tennis sensations are the first Greek duo to play in the event for 17 years.

Their first match has just been played, and unfortunately they lost against Great Britain, represented by Cameron Norrie and Katie Boulter with a score of 4-3(0), 3-4(2), 4-3(4).

On December 31, Tsitsipas and Sakkari will verse Frances Tiafoe and Serena Williams, the United States team. Their third game will be against the Swiss team represented by Roger Federer and Belinda Bencic on January 3.

The Hopman Cup is an annual international tennis tournament, played in an indoor hardcourt tennis court in Perth, Western Australia.
