Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo had his Twitter account and personal information hacked on Thursday.
As is the case with most Twitter hacks, the hacker spewed a series of hate-filled text, including racist language, an assertion that Antetokounmpo had been diagnosed with coronavirus, disrespect directed towards late NBA star Kobe Bryant — Antetokounmpo's basketball idol — and multiple false and crass statements about other NBA players.
The tweets were deleted within minutes and Antetokounmpo's account was locked shortly after.
The "Greek Freak" released an apology through matching tweets from his partner, Mariah Riddlespringer, and younger brother, Kostas.
The tweet also mentions that his phone, email and bank accounts were also compromised.
The Milwaukee Bucks announced that an investigation into the hack is underway.
