Wearing masks or other face coverings is now compulsory again for supermarket employees and customers as of Saturday (July 18), according to a joint ministerial decision issued on Friday.
The news was announced by the Secretary General of Commerce and Consumer, Panagiotis Stampoulidis.
“The use of non-medical mask in supermarkets by employees and consumers is mandatory,” the Secretary General tweeted.
Meanwhile, Greece reported 28 new coronavirus cases in the latest 24-hour reporting period, of which 16 are from incoming travellers.

This raises the total number of cases to 3,964, of whom 54.8% are men.
Of these, 1,085 are related to travel abroad, 2,035 to a known case and the rest are of indeterminate cause.
The death toll currently stands at 194. The median age of the deceased was 76 years, and most had underlying issues.
