Greece and France have both demanded tough sanctions against Ankara, which could be agreed at an EU summit on October 1st and 2nd.

France's President Macron scheduled to speak by phone tonight with President Erdoğan of Turkey, which Macron said is "no longer a partner in the East Med project. The call comes 36 hours before the European Council meeting on sanctioning Turkey.
