Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke about a change in the European perception of Turkish challenges against European Union member states during his meeting with the Cypriot President, Nikos Anastasiadis.

During his statement, Mitsotakis raised the issue of Turkey and the change that has taken place in the European position regarding the challenges of Ankara.

"There is a different perception in Europe about who the troublemaker of the neighborhood is," he said, noting that "Turkey's challenges are not just about Greece and Cyprus, but about the Union's geostrategic interests in general."

He also referred to the effort needed to "change policies and views that had been formed for decades", while expressing his absolute satisfaction "for the cooperation of us and our ministers."

Anastasiadis, in turn, referred to the constant pursuit of the Cypriot side to find a solution "based on United Nations resolutions, Security Council resolutions and the principles of the European Union."
