The Associated Press were the first to declare that Democrat Presidential Candidate Joe Biden won Pennsylvania, meaning he now has more than enough Electoral College votes to become the 46th president of the United States of America.

Biden, as well as American and international media, have declared the Democrat as President Elect.

President Donald Trump is the first president since George Bush Senior to not be re-elected for a second term.

The AP, who boasts that they were 99.8% accurate in calling U.S. races in 2016 and 100% accurate in calling presidential and congressional races for each state, has not called several other states, such as Georgia and North Carolina, as ballots are still being counted.

The final margin of victory for Biden may not be known for several days or weeks.

Following his victory, the President Elect wrote on Twitter:

"America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country. The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not. I will keep the faith that you have placed in me."
