Commemorating the 2500th Anniversary of the Battle of Thermopylae in Sydney, Australia

The Public Diplomacy Office at the Consulate General of Greece in Sydney, Laconian Federation of NSW, Athenian Association of NSW and Australian Hellenic Educators Association in Sydney, Australia, held an event on Tuesday 8 December to commemorate two of history’s most significant battles.

The event celebrated the 2500th anniversary of the Battle of Thermopylae and naval battle of Salamis.

Keynote speaker of the event was Mr. Konstantinos Giannakodimos, Counsellor for Communication Head of the Public Diplomacy Office at the Consulate General of Greece in Sydney.

The event was attended by the Consul General of Greece in Sydney Mr. Christos Karras.
