According to the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), the cold front will bring gusty winds, freezing temperatures and snow to large parts of the mainland.

The cold snap is forecasted to end on Monday, January 18.

In Florina, temperatures reached 0°C overnight as heavy snowfall blanketed the very popular mountain town.

Snow machines are clearing the roads including the national road between Kastoria and Florina.
