Recent developments in the Eastern Mediterranean were at the heart of the telephone conversation between the Greek and Germany ministers.

At the same time, Panagiotopoulos briefed his German counterpart in detail on the Greek positions on a number of issues related to security issues, as well as stability in the wider region.

It is noted that the Minister also referred to the talks between Greece and Turkey, which officially began on January 25.

He emphasised that the only issues to be discussed are the delimitation of the continental shelf and the Exclusive Economic Zone under international law.
