Panagiotopoulos' visits newly upgraded F-16 Viper fighter jets: See the photos

Defence Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos was given a tour yesterday of the upgraded F-16 aircraft which was upgraded to the Viper version at Greek military industrial facilities.

It is expected to fly in the next few days.

The upgraded F-16 fighter jets will undergo extensive technical inspection at Tanagra Air Base.

Panagiotopoulos was informed about the ongoing programs, with emphasis on the program of upgrading the F-16 fighter jets to Viper class as well as the C-130 transport aircraft of the Air Force.

The Defence Minister was given a tour of the production facilities and met with the representatives of the workers' union.

After the visit, he expressed positive comments, noting the special importance of the Greek military industry in supporting the Armed Forces.

Panagiotopoulos was accompanied by the General Director of GDAEE, Lieutenant General Theodoros Lagios.
