Giorgos Pilidis will be going to the Olympics this summer.

Pilidis qualified for the 2021 Olympic Games through the World Olympic Qualifier on Thursday in Sofia, Bulgaria, a last-chance qualification tournament.

Although injured, the 26-year-old reached the semifinals in the men's freestyle competition at 65 kilograms (143 pounds), and defeated Slovenian Dave Habat 9-7.

Pilidis will face Polish Magomedmurad Gadzhiev in the final, after he overcame Jordan Oliver of the United States 3-2.

He is the second Greek wrestling athlete to qualify for this year's games, after Maria Prevolaraki.
