As reported on GCT, Greece opens to all tourists on May 14 so long as they have a certificate confirming their vaccination for COVID-19 or have a negative test no older than 72 hours upon arrival.
On Wednesday, Greek Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister Akis Skertsos announced that rules will apply for travel (by ferry and plane) to and from the islands.
Residents and visitors will be allowed to travel to the Greek islands only if they have one of the following:
The staff of ferry and airline companies will be responsible to check that passengers have the correct documentation before boarding.
Passengers of international flights to Greece must continue to fill in a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) at least a day before arrival, providing information that will include their departure airport, the address where they will be staying and the expected duration of their stay in Greece, among others.
