The explosive increase in daily COVID-19 cases over the last ten days has caused a headache for the government and experts, who are considering every possible measure to stop the rapid spread.
The Committee of Specialists is meeting today at the Ministry of Health and will consider a series of measures that could possibly stop the rapid spread.

What seems to be in favor, however, is the fact that whatever measures are decided, they will be implemented locally.
The most likely scenario is that they will affect those areas that have a more severe epidemiological picture and have a high viral load.
1,797 new COVID-19 cases were announced on Tuesday, frustrating the government and experts, with the inevitable consequence that there will be an immediate reaction from the state.
Some experts expect that there will be over 3,000 cases a day in August if the current trend continues.
In the last two weeks the increase in new cases has exceeded 440%.
According to Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nikos Hardalias, young people are the drivers of the pandemic.
The median age of new cases is 27-year-old, according to Greek health authorities.
32% of recorded positive diagnoses were people infected by gathering outside, said Hardalias, and hundreds more in entertainment venues.
"As long as 40% of adults remain unvaccinated, the Delta mutation directly and directly threatens their health," warned Hardalias.
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign has been declining lately, with daily vaccinations below 100,000.
Yesterday 91,643 were carried out and the total vaccinations amounted to 8,802,118.
