PM Mitsotakis: Greece will take on IUCN's presidency in 2023

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis addressed the International Union for the Conservation of Nature's (IUCN) international conference held at Marseilles on Friday.

The Greek premier had been invited by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Greece will take on IUCN's presidency in 2023 to implement an action plan of the French initiative 'Coalition for an Exemplary Mediterranean in 2030'.

The protection of the Mediterranean's aquamarine environment will be the focus of the EUMED9 summit that will be held in Greece on September 17, he noted.
