A fire broke out earlier on Wednesday in a forest area near Agios Nikolaos, in Anavyssos.
The Fire Department said that the fire was burning grass on a hill and did not pose a threat to residential areas at that time.
Twenty-one firefighters with seven vehicles and a helicopter are operating in the area.
