All schools primary and secondary education schools on the Greek islands of Corfu and Paxos will be closed today, due to extreme weather conditions, confirmed the Deputy Regional Head, Costas Zorbas.
The Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection sent urgent weather notifications through mobile phone messaging few minutes before 10.00pmlast night warning of extreme weather events in the area.
The notifications urged residents to avoid non-essential movements particularly in areas that have been flooded or may be flooded.
