Migration Minister Notis Mitarachi, in a message posted on social media on Tuesday regarding the sinking of a boat filled with migrants in the sea off the island of Chios, stated: "The Turkish authorities should do more to intercept exploitation by criminal gangs at source. These journeys should never be allowed to take place."
