The ship owner Lefteris Polemis, originally from Andros, passed away yesterday morning.
The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Syros Mr. Dorotheos II said: "We express our deep human grief for the death of our dearest and very dear friend and benefactor Eleftherios."
Lefteris was a great benefactor of Andros, with a rich philanthropic and cultural work according to Cyclades 24.
The Andrias Club expressed condolences to his family and wrote "may his memory live forever."
