Diavata prison in lockdown after 40+ inmates infected with COVID-19

Roughly 40 COVID-19 infections have been recorded at Diavata prison in Thessaloniki.

According to sources, all those infected are inmates and are suffering from mild or no symptoms and all have been placed in quarantine.

Visitors are not allowed into the prison at the moment.

According to the same sources, roughly three quarters of the inmates are vaccinated.
