The legendary goalkeeper of Greek football, Panagiotis Kelesidis, is suffering from COVID-19 and is giving the most critical match of his life at Tzanio Hospital.

The general secretary of the Association of Veterans of Olympiacos, Antonis Glykas, told Proto Thema that Panagiotis Kelesidis, although vaccinated with both doses, was admitted to Tzanio hospital yesterday with respiratory problems.

Later, however, his health deteriorated.

"In the communication I had with him yesterday, he told me that he was in good condition and that he was admitted to the hospital for precautionary reasons," he said.

"However, later we learned that his health condition had deteriorated and that the doctors had to intubate him," added Antonis Glykas.

The legendary goalkeeper is intubated  but is struggling to find a bed in the Intensive Care Unit of another hospital.
