US Under Secretary of State, Victoria Nuland, announced that violations and flights over Greek islands are “provocative” and the US doesn’t support them.
She reiterated that Turkey has expressed interest in buying F16s and “we are having this conversation, but we have not completed talks.”
Separately, Turkey reported to NATO that Greece had violated Turkish airspace for 30 times last week (26-28 April) which led to Turkey’s response.
