The 8th Bollywood and Multicultural Dance Festival was held on July 1-3 in Athens in its usual scenic location.
The event was first organised by the 1st Bollywood Dance Academy Greece and Artistic Studio Oriental Expression, in collaboration with the Indo – Hellenic Society for Culture and Development (ELINEPA), under the aegis of the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT) and the International Dance Council (CID – UNESCO), in Athens, Greece in June 2013.
The festival is Greece’s biggest Bollywood festival and one of Europe’s biggest since 2013.
The Primary aim of this festival has always been to focus on Cultural Diversity and Intercultural Dialogue, International in true sense, based on co-operation with organizations in various countries across the world.
Taking place every summer, BMDF is the most unique dance-related happening of the season, and thus is widely covered by the local and international media.
The 8th Bollywood and Multicultural Dance Festival featured 13 unique dance workshops that embrace the Festival’s multicultural character!
Participants had the chance to attend workshops on various dance styles from the East and West, traditional as well as modern, offered by internationally acclaimed teachers and choreographers – and all at amazing prices!
The event was held at the scenic Dora Stratou Theatre on Filopappou Hill.
