The fear of a yacht sinking off Mykonos has now ended.
The luxury vessel ran aground off Ornos on Wednesday, but has now been safely towed.
According to Proto Thema, the vessel has fully recovered while no pollution was detected in the area.
The operation to transport the vessel belonging to the shipowner G. Kampanis was completed at approximately 8:30PM on Wednesday evening.
The incident
The luxury yacht had taken a dangerous tilt in the morning off Ornos as it ran aground due to wrong handling by the crew.
The yacht had taken on water and was towed by coastguard vessels. The Fire Department was also at the scene in order to pump water from inside the yacht.
