NBA to look at the possibility of holding a game in Greece

By 1 year ago

With NBA game taking place in Paris this year, in the future, it can move to Greece, commissioner Adam Silver revealed.

Silver also said the Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is also eager to play in his country.

"The answer is that Giannis has told me personally many times how important this would be to him," Silver told during the press conference before the NBA Paris game. "And I know the Bucks feel the same way, and so we're looking at opportunities to return to Greece."

Silver also highlighted Greece's importance to the NBA.

Again, I've been with the league for a long time. We had many great outings in Athens and many other visits. Thanks for being here. It's a very strong basketball market."

So far, NBA Global Games didn't take place in Greece. Previously, NBA organized regular season games in four European countries: the UK, France, Germany, and Spain.
