Elon Musk’s Starlink broadband service is now fully available in Greece. Costs are quoted as €60 a month without long-term contracts. Potential users can ‘rent’ the Starlink equipment for a one-time activation fee of €50 plus €15 per month rental or buy the dish, modem and cables for €300, which is a reduction on the previous fee of €450.

The national availability over Greece will be good news, especially for residents and villa owners who frequently struggle with broadband access during the summer, particularly when connections are needed on the famous Greek islands.

The complete Greek availability extends connectivity to nearby countries, including North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland.

There are – as yet – unconnected countries, including Bosnia/Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania. Belarus and Russia are not connected.
