In their update, the Foreign Office stated: "There are planned demonstrations on 17 November in Athens and major university cities, including Thessaloniki and Heraklion. These demonstrations could become violent, and security forces may deploy tear gas. If you are in areas where demonstrations are taking place, remain vigilant, move away quickly from the area, stay aware of your surroundings, and follow the advice of local authorities."

The US Embassy issued a similar warning to American citizens, highlighting the potential for violence and property destruction during demonstrations, with a possibility of tear gas and anti-riot engagements between police and protestors.
Moreover, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office noted that the situation in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories elevates the risk for UK nationals, emphasizing a high global threat of terrorist attacks targeting British interests and nationals.
