The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) listed the quake at a slightly lower magnitude of 2.9. Towns closest to the epicenter, like Pedi (6 km away) and Symi (8 km away), likely experienced very weak shaking. Shaking was likely not felt in places further away, including Kremasti (27 km), Ialysos (29 km), Rhodes (32 km), Faliraki (38 km), Afantou (40 km), Marmaris (43 km), and Kos (65 km).
