The minister informed the ambassador that she plans to visit Japan at the end of September to participate in the “Tourism Expo Japan 2024”. During her visit, she aims to establish contacts at both political and tourist levels and attend events organized by the Ministry of Tourism as part of the Year of Culture and Tourism 2024. Among these events will be a special presentation of the reissued edition of Kazantzakis’ iconic travel literature work “Travelling in Japan”, available in both Greek and Japanese languages.
Kefalogianni’s visit to Japan will provide an opportunity to explore the potential for establishing a regular direct air connection between the two countries and promote investment and business cooperation in the tourism sector.
