By 2 weeks ago

Greek airline SKY express has strengthened its fleet by 17% and now operates 27 aircraft, maintaining the youngest fleet in Greece and one of the most environmentally friendly in Europe.

The airline’s fleet consists of:

  • 2 Airbus A321neo
  • 10 Airbus A320neo
  • 1 Airbus A320ceo
  • 10 ATR 72-600
  • 4 ATR 72-500

The Airbus fleet is powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines, which offer proven reliability and competitive advantages, including 20% less fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, 50% less NOx emissions, and a 50% smaller noise footprint.

SKY express’ ATR aircraft provide the necessary flexibility required at many regional airports in the country. With 45% less fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to regional jets, these aircraft connect Greek islands and other domestic destinations in a modern and sustainable way.

The airline has renewed its fleet of ATR aircraft, with an average age not exceeding 1.6 years. In April, the company received another ATR 72-600, the SX-TFI.

For the popular Greek summer destinations, such as the Cyclades, the Dodecanese, the Eastern Aegean, and the Ionian Islands, SKY express is offering additional seats, with an increase of up to 11% in 2024.

The expanded capabilities of SKY express’ brand new fleet significantly benefit the company’s employees and enhance the passengers’ travel experience.

SKY express, a double award-winning Greek airline in Europe for its continuous excellence and innovation at the ERA Awards 2023, has the largest network of domestic destinations (33) and serves an ever-expanding network of 15 European destinations.

The airline has entered into agreements with global carriers, such as Air France, British Airways, KLM, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Etihad, Delta, American Airlines, Cyprus Airways, Condor, El Al, Turkish Airlines, Middle East Airlines, and Royal Jordanian, providing passengers from all over the world the opportunity to travel to Athens and continue their journey to all domestic destinations served by SKY express
