A unique experience was experienced by the people of Thessaloniki who had gathered in Aristotelous Square for the procession of the Epitaph on the evening of Good Friday.

For the first time, on the initiative of the Metropolis of Thessaloniki and in cooperation with the Municipality of Thessaloniki, five Epitaphs met in Aristotelous Square. These were the Epitaphs from the Holy Temples of Agia Sophia, Agios Grigorios Palamas, Panagia Chalkeon, Agia Theodora, and Agios Nikolaos of Tranos.

In Aristotelous Square, the mayor of Thessaloniki, Stelios Angeloudis, and the deputy mayor, Vassilis Gakis, who distributed candles to the faithful, were present. The Metropolitan of Thessaloniki gave a speech, stressing, among other things, how important it is to have love and faith in a square, Aristotelous Square, that has seen serious incidents of violence
