Giannis Antetokounmpo can't forget how Olympiacos and Panathinaikos didn't show interest in him when he was young. The Greek Freak reflected on the possibility of buying a club in his native country, naming the only team he'd ever consider playing for.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was at the Uber Arena and watched Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens' qualification to the EuroLeague final game, interviewing his brother, Kostas.

The Milwaukee Bucks superstar spoke to the Greek reporters in Berlin, explaining that he would return to Greece only for his hometown team, Filathlitikos, since neither of the two EuroLeague clubs wanted to sign him when he was a kid.

Giannis, 30, even suggested he'd be willing to buy Panathinaikos or Olympiacos from their current owners if they were eager to sell.

"I don't know if I would play for Olympiacos and Panathinaikos because I have been asked this question many times," the 2-time NBA MVP said.

"But surely, if I ever came back, I'd go back to Filathlikos, where I started. When I was a kid, Olympiacos and Panathinaikos didn't want me. Why should I join them at 38?" he asked.

"Regardless of where Filathlitikos are playing, I can take them to the first division."

Turning to his agent, George Panou, who was next to him, Antetokounmpo suggested he could buy a Greek team.

"If they're selling it to us," he clarified.

"If Mr. Giannakopoulos sells it to us, which I don't see happening, or Mr. Angelopoulos, I will buy a team," he explained.
