Greek couple raffling their $2.6 million mansion for $75 per ticket

A Greek couple is raffling off their $2.6 million villa in Aegina for $75.50 per ticket.

The large 5,000 sqm property, which also includes a vineyard and huge pool is located only 27 kilometres from Athens and has complete water views.

Greek couple Christos and Alice Douvras have opened up the raffle for their seaside property and it is open to worldwide entrants.

With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, the home is a two minute walk from the beach and 10 minutes to local bars, taverns and shops.

The villa also includes two kitchens and balconies allowing ocean and mountain views.

The couple have lived in the home for eight years after building it themselves in 2009, however they say their work duties have now forced them to relocate to northern Greece and need to sell.

They decided to take a chance on this option after hearing of an Australian couple who handed over their Micronesian island resort last year after selling 75,000 raffle tickets.

If less than 50,000 people enter, the winner will receive half of the money from ticket sales.
