Much loved Greek comedian Harry Klynn has passed away aged 78, due to health complications.
Born in Thessaloniki on May 7th, Harry Klynn, unfolded his writing and performing skills at an early age. Starting with G. Oikonomidis’s “Talents Night”, in 1958, he then moved to Athens where he started pursuing an artistic career. Within 8 years, he managed to stand out and establish himself, among the night clubs and cabarets most favorite attractions. The beginning of the `60s saw him embark in the film industry by taking part in several movies while, at the same time, he made his first theatrical appearances in plays hosted at “Acropol” and “Hadzichristos” Theatres.
In 1964 he moved to North America where he established himself as a writer and a stand-up comedian. With his return to Greece, in 1974, he managed to leave his mark on Athens night life presenting to the public a series of ingenious and glamorous shows in various clubs. His records, released at that same period of time, ride fast to the top of the charts and his films proved to be box office hits of the greatest magnitude.
Harry will be truly missed and may he rest in peace.
