AEGEANAEGEANAegean Airlines have announced that they have no plans at present to cancel flights to Italy, given the recent dramatic increase of reported coronavirus Covid-19 cases.

In the case that passengers want to cancel their trip to Italy, Aegean will refund them.

According to sources, an EU response to the virus outbreak is expected in the coming days.

In Italy’s northern Lombardy region, which includes the nation’s financial capital, Milan, the Governor On Sunday announced that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases stood at 110.

Italy now has 152 cases, the largest number outside of Asia, including three deaths, the most recent on Sunday.

Venice, which is full of tourists for Carnival events, reported its first two cases. It isn’t known if they had participated in Carnival festivities.

As Italy scrambled to stop the spread of the virus, authorities canceled all Carnival events as well as major league soccer matches in the stricken region.

Cinemas and theaters were also ordered to be shut down, including Milan’s legendary La Scala.
