Five well-known artists created a large mural that changes the look of the Thessaloniki pedestrian street in Athens.
Many people stopped and watched the five artists (who were from Greece and Italy) leave their mark on the wall.
“A new, large mural gave colour to Thessaloniki Street, opposite the Technopolis. Organised and directed by Urban Act with our support. We can give colour to the city in such ways, organised and coordinated. And we will continue to do this in other parts of Athens. With the ability to express all artists, with respect to the city. The beginning was made by Blaqk, Jamer, Kez, Same84 and 2501,” said Athens mayor Kostas Bakogiannis.
The Municipality of Athens cleans the surfaces of the city “from smudges and bad aesthetics” and on the other hand creates “spaces where all the artists who give colour and light to their works can express themselves.”
