Greece is well ahead of Germany in digital transformation, according to Tom Enders, former CEO of Airbus and the President of the German Council on Foreign Relations.
During the "Europe 2021" online conference, Enders said to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis: "you talked about digital transformation, particularly how you used digital during the how COVID crisis, testing, border security and vaccination."
"Germany is really lacking behind a lot countries here, including Greece, and that is something that has been exposed from the COVID crisis," he continued.
Enders said that Germans who listen to the discussion will see how Greece treated compared to Germany during the crisis whilst explaining how thousands of people in his country waiting for hours on telephone lines.
"This is a scandal that must be dealt with, as soon as possible," the President of the German Council on Foreign Relations concluded.
