Former President Prokopis Pavlopoulos receives honourary distinction from Serbia

In commemoration of Statehood Day, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić awarded former Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos one of the country's highest honours, the Order of the Republic of Serbia.

This is the Serbia's highest honour bestowed on foreign heads of state and government officials.

The award will be presented to Pavlopoulos directly when health conditions allow, Proto Thema reported.

It is noted that another Greek former President, Karolos Papoulias, was also honoured with the same award in the past.
