Newborn baby dies from Covid-19

A 37-day-old baby who developed Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) after contracting Covid-19 died on Monday, becoming the youngest victim of the disease in Greece.

The news was announced by Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias in a tweet.

The newborn had been treated for approximately two weeks in the Intensive Care Unit of the Athenian children’s hospital “Aghia Sofia.
