The number of students admitted to Greek military schools is increasing

This year, candidates for the national exams to enter Greek military schools will have an increase number of students, Greek Defence Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos confirmed.

As he stressed, this strategy includes initiatives such as the increase of admissions of all the Higher Military Training Institutions and the Higher Military Schools of Non-Commissioned Officers.

This is in addition to the recruitment of professional soldiers.

At the same time, the School of Nursing Officers (SAN), the Military School of Officers (SSAS) and the School of National Defense (SETHA) will be reviewed.

A program of upgrading military service will be implemented and a training program will be implemented for the technical staff of the Ministry of Defence.

The goals of the Ministry of National Defense for 2021 move in the following three directions:

  1. Guarantee of the Defence and Security of the country.
  2. Optimal utilisation of State property.
  3. Promotion of the Social Contribution of the Armed Forces.
