The 2021 Oscar nominations marked a number of historic firsts.
Not only did women account for a record-breaking 76 nominations, but two women were nominated in the best director category for the first time.
Two Greeks, Phedon Papamichael and Yorgos Lamprinos, are also among the nominees.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra announced the nominees for the 93rd Academy Awards during a global live stream.
Papamichael was nominated 'Best Cinematography' for his work in “The Trial of The Chicago 7” and Lamprinos for 'Best Film Editing' for “The Father”.
A full list of the nominations can be found here.
The Academy Awards ceremony will take place at both the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, where it’s traditionally held, and at Los Angeles’ Union Station, on April 25.
