Greece's Ministry of Culture last week announced the summer hours for archaeological sites and museums will kick in later in April this year.
Overall, there will be two different schedules for visitors, depending on the site/museum: 8am-8pm and 8.30am-3pm.
Visitors to the archaeological sites/museums should check online before visiting.
The Ministry also announced new sites and museums that will open to visitors as of this summer:
In addition, more archaeological sites and museums will run on the expanded schedule (8am-8pm) during this summer, like the Museum of Ancient Eleutherna in Rethymno (Crete) and the Castle of Parga (Epirus).
The ministry reminds visitors that wearing masks is obligatory in all archaeological spaces through the duration of the visit, while the latest entry is 20 minutes before closing.
In addition, on Orthodox Good Friday (April 30), all sites and museums in Greece will open from 12-5pm while on May Day and Greek Orthodox Easter (April 2), they will be shut.
