Greek authorities have seized more than 4 tons of cannabis from Lebanon that were hidden inside industrial cupcake-making machines.
The shipment, containing three of these machines, arrived on April 14th to Greece’s main port of Piraeus from Lebanon. It was scheduled for transport to Slovakia on April 20th.
After receiving information from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Greek authorities raided the container on April 16th and seized 4.3 tons of cannabis.
Greek authorities sought help in the case from the drug enforcement agency in Saudi Arabia and are conducting an investigation into the shipment.
