Evzones turn Pontic for the day to commemorate Greek Genocide Remembrance Day

By 3 years ago

To commemorate the Greek Genocide of Pontus, the famous Evzones soldiers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Syntagma Square turned Pontic for the day.

In honour of the memory of the 353,000 victims of the Greek Genocide in Pontus, a special ceremony was held with hundreds of people, featuring not only evzones, but several delegates from political and community organisations.

Greek City Times was at Syntagma Square to capture the commemorations and see Ezvones in the Pontic Greek uniform.
